What is a carbon footprint assessment?

A carbon footprint assessment (GHG inventory) measures all of a company’s greenhouse gas emissions across scopes 1, 2 and 3 and provides the basis for a concrete decarbonisation action plan. We work interchangeably with internationally recognized standards like the GHG protocol or Bilan Carbone® which is the French standard. We guide you through measuring your carbon footprint and mapping out your decarbonisation pathway.

Why carry out a carbon footprint assessment?

Measuring emissions is no longer just for large companies. Whether your customers are asking for your carbon data or you are simply convinced that decarbonisation drives performance, the Bilan Carbone is the essential starting point.

  • Anticipate regulatory obligations: VS, CSRD, national GHG reporting schemes such as the French BEGES… Acting now puts you ahead of your competitors.
  • Respond to your customers’ requests: more and more tenders and specifications require verified carbon data on your scopes 1, 2 and 3.
  • Reduce your costs: identifying your emission sources also means identifying your energy dependencies and the related savings opportunities.
  • Boost your attractiveness: carbon issues now matter to your employees, investors and partners.
  • Prepare your SBTi pathway: a carbon footprint is the prerequisite for any credible climate strategy.

Our Strengths

Bilan Carbone Act For Now

Official Bilan Carbone® V9 certification

Our consultants are trained in the official method and tools of the Association Bilan Carbone® which covers the GHG protocol and the ISO 14064-1. You will receive deliverables that meet the requirements of the main frameworks: CSRD, EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi and VSME.

Awareness workshops to engage your teams

A carbon footprint without internal buy-in is ineffective. Our certified facilitators run the Climate Fresk, the 2tonnes workshop or the Climate Change Adaptation workshop (AdACC) to build internal engagement before, during or after your assessment.

A springboard to a full climate strategy

A carbon footprint is not an end in itself. It can be followed by an SBTi alignment or VSME/CSRD compliance. We stay by your side at every stage.
