Why choose an outsourced CSR manager?

Between the requirements of your large customers, new regulations (CSRD, VSME) and your teams’ expectations, CSR is a real issue. But without a dedicated resource, it’s hard to know where to start.

With an outsourced CSR manager, we co-lead your CSR strategy from A to Z, from setting objectives to regulatory compliance, so you can act quickly without hiring.

  • Multidisciplinary expertise, operational from day one: with Act For Now, you gain access to a team in which every consultant is an expert in their field, working together on your projects.
  • No recruitment delay or learning curve: with an outsourced CSR manager, you are up and running from the first month, with a team that already knows the frameworks, tools and contacts.
  • Flexibility to match your needs: your CSR needs vary throughout the year. The arrangement adapts to the period and the workstreams (EcoVadis preparation, launching a carbon footprint, producing your VSME sustainability report).
  • An outside perspective that adds credibility: an external consultant brings an objective view, sector benchmarks and the ability to deliver difficult messages.
Controlled, predictable costs: the cost can be fully adjusted to the level of presence you need.

Frequently asked questions

From what company size does an outsourced CSR manager make sense?
From 30 to 50 employees, if the CSR issues are real (customer requests, EcoVadis assessment, a carbon footprint to carry out, reporting requirements). Below that, a one-off CSR structuring engagement is often more suitable. Above 300 to 400 employees, the outsourced CSR manager usually works as co-lead alongside a dedicated internal contact.
Can we outsource only certain CSR workstreams?
Yes. Our engagement can be comprehensive or focused on one or more specific workstreams: EcoVadis only, carbon footprint and decarbonisation only, or VSME reporting only. We define the scope when setting up the engagement.
What is the minimum commitment period?
We recommend a minimum commitment of 6 months for an outsourced CSR manager engagement to produce measurable results. The most transformative engagements last 12 to 36 months. We hold quarterly reviews to adjust the scope.
How does the transition work if you hire an in-house CSR manager?
This is a common scenario, and one we plan for. We handle the skills transfer and handover with your future CSR manager, so they can start their role on a solid foundation rather than from scratch.
Can Act For Now work with us if we already have an in-house CSR manager?
Yes, as co-lead. We support your CSR manager on topics that require specialist expertise (EcoVadis, carbon footprint, VSME, LCA) or on one-off projects they cannot handle alone.
How is billing structured?
We work on a monthly fixed fee agreed at the start of the engagement, covering a set number of days and a defined scope of workstreams. Work outside this scope (an unplanned EcoVadis assessment, an additional carbon footprint) is covered by a contract amendment.
