EcoVadis Medal Scores: What Score Do You Need for Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum?

The EcoVadis rating has become one of the world’s leading benchmarks for assessing CSR practices. A growing number of large companies now use it to select their suppliers, making CSR performance a key criterion in business relationships.

EcoVadis awards four medals to assessed companies based on their percentile rank compared with all companies rated on the platform over the past 12 months, across all sectors. Since the 2024 methodology change, medals no longer depend on a fixed score but on a relative ranking:

  • Platinum medal: top 1% of assessed companies (percentile ≥ 99)
  • Gold medal: top 5% (percentile ≥ 95)
  • Silver medal: top 15% (percentile ≥ 85)
  • Bronze medal: top 35% (percentile ≥ 65)

The maturity of companies assessed by EcoVadis is increasing, and medal thresholds are shifting

As the overall CSR performance of assessed companies improves year after year, the bar for earning a medal rises too. Keeping a medal therefore means continuing to progress and further structuring your CSR program.

The table below summarises the thresholds observed as of 31 August 2026 across all EcoVadis assessments carried out for our clients.

How can I estimate the score and medal my company could achieve?

The overall EcoVadis score is calculated from the theme scores (Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement) across the different EcoVadis criteria (policies, actions, reporting, etc.). To make this easier, we have designed a simulator that quickly estimates the score or medal you can aim for, based on the maturity of your CSR approach, your sector and your company size.

This simulation, carried out with an EcoVadis expert, will help you:

  • Identify the medal you can achieve today
  • Identify your quickest areas for improvement
  • Get concrete recommendations on your documentation (policies, procedures, indicators)
  • Get a realistic estimate of the medal you could achieve in the medium term
